Broccoli, Potato & Pea Purée Recipe

Making your own baby purée’s isn’t just fun, it’s incredibly cost saving but it can be hard to know where to start. With our new series, we’ll be sharing some fantastic “tried and tested” recipes – Bon Appetit. 



What you’ll need: 
2 Large Baking Potatoes
1 Broccoli 
375g Peas 
14oz Boiling Water 

Something to blend to a purée, I just use a hand blender. 
Something to store your purée, I love freezing them with the Nuby Garden Fresh pots and then moving them to ziploc bags. 

Method:
Peel & boil your potatoes until soft, drain. In a separate pan, boil your peas and broccoli until cooked and then drain. In a pan combine peas, potato and broccoli with the boiled water. Blend up to desired consistency. 

Makes 18 Servings

Cost:
Potatoes – 60p
Peas – £1.25
Broccoli – 45p 

Total: £2.30
Just 12p per Serving! 
(Obviously, this varies dependant on where you shop) 

Health Benefits: 
Peas & Broccoli are rich in Vitamin K which works alongside Calcium for healthy bone development, as well as being a great source of Vitamins A and C and folic acid. Broccoli is also a superfood, packed out with fibre, calcium and iron!
